The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation, is on the lookout for a detail-oriented Drafter Designer to join their Harrisburg Office. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will engage in a range of technical tasks that support civil, mining, and environmental engineering initiatives within the Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation (BAMR). Your responsibilities will focus on projects related to abandoned mine land (AML) reclamation and abandoned mine drainage (AMD) remediation. These projects encompass various activities, including surface mine reclamation, mine fire and subsidence control, closure of mine openings, and the extension or replacement of water supply lines. Additionally, you will be involved in the evaluation, operation, monitoring, maintenance, and rehabilitation of both active and passive AMD treatment facilities. It will be essential for you to interpret and apply relevant guidance, standards, procedures, and regulations, exercising judgment to make necessary minor adaptations and modifications.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
