Deputy Director 5
What will you do?
Serves as Assistant Deputy Director to develop, implement, coordinate, manage, plan & direct departments operations of statewide Home and Community Based Waiver programs. Assists Deputy Director to ensure compliance with all rules and

regulations.

Provides oversight and makes recommendations for rules regarding Home and Community Based programs & enforcement

of

same;

provides

consultation

and

input

for

policies

& procedures concerning all programs.

Assists Deputy Director in defining strategic goals and objectives to support the overall strategic goals of the agency and ensure incorporation of the

Home and Community Based Waiver programs in the strategic plan. Works with other divisions to ensure alignment of Medicaid division work with agency goals.
Represents department or responds on departments behalf regarding Medicaid and Waiver issues; establishes & maintains relationships with state & local agencies and all stakeholders in order to ensure positive experiences with people served.
Advises Deputy Director and other Leadership regarding HCBS Medicaid

issues.

Experience in Community Provider Services.

Supplemental Information
Requires travel throughout the State of Ohio & may include overnight stay and weekends. Must be willing & able to secure a Drivers License OR supply your own transportation.

The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Rule 5123-2-02, "Background Investigations for Employment," outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
