THE POSITION
Pike County Child Welfare Service is seeking a dedicated County Social Services Aide 1 who enjoys helping children, youth, and families. This role gives you the chance to support community members by assisting with important daily needs. You will build confidence as you learn new skills and take part in meaningful work. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides support to children, youth, and families through scheduled appointments, daily assistance, and basic clerical tasks. As a County Social Services Aide 1, you will perform the following duties:Client Transport: Escort clients to medical, dental, foster care, court, and recreation appointmentsBasic Assistance: Provide simple information to clients and community membersDaily Support: Help clients and families with routine tasks such as home care, meal planning, and budgetingItem Delivery: Pick up and deliver clothing, equipment, and other items as neededClerical Duties: Complete tasks such as mail handling, filing, answering calls, typing, and message relayRecord Support: Assist with maintaining case files including reviews, data entry, and notesWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Graduation from high school; orAny equivalent combination of training and experience.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
