The Department of Transportation is on the lookout for a Chief Real Estate Appraiser to spearhead the acquisition of vital real estate and legal rights-of-way for highway enhancement initiatives. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As the Chief Real Estate Appraiser, you will ensure appraisals are conducted efficiently, accurately reflecting fair market value and providing appropriate compensation for any damage. Your leadership will ensure that our projects are completed on time and within state and federal procedures, policies, and requirements. In addition to overseeing the appraisal process, you will handle all excess right-of-way sales, including advertising, agreements of sales, and deeds. Conducts bid opening and auction sales. Handles all requests from the public concerning excess right-of-way.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
