THE POSITION
The Armed Installation Security Officer with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is an exciting chance to take on a role that drives a key purpose. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides armed security services to protect personnel, visitors, facilities, and property at Fort Indiantown Gap. Your work supports the installation's safety and orderly operations. As an Armed Installation Security Officer, you will perform the following duties:Security Patrols: Conduct armed patrols on foot or in a vehicle to maintain safety across the installationAccess Control: Manage entry points, operate barrier systems, and support visitor processing according to regulationsIncident Response: Report hazards or unusual activity and take appropriate action based on policyEquipment Operation: Operate patrol vehicles, communication systems, alarm monitoring tools, closed circuit television systems, and related equipmentCoordination: Work with federal, state, county, and local law enforcement and emergency service providersDocumentation: Prepare security reports and maintain required logs and formsInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per weekWork hours are 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
