JOB SUMMARY:
Provides administrative support for the Office of the Dean, the Executive Assistant to the Dean, the Chief of Staff, and the Operations Team for the Harvey S. Peeler Jr. College of Veterinary Medicine. Maintains a high level of confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:
30% - Administrative Support: Serves as first point of contact as receptionist for the Office of the Dean. Answers multi-line telephone, monitors vetmed@clemson.edu email inbox, provides general information, screens and routes phone calls. Greets and directs visitors and receives deliveries. Responsible for sorting/delivering all incoming and outgoing mail for the Dean's Office and maintains order in the supply room. Orders supplies and monitors available inventory for the Dean's office. Maintains copier and other equipment for the Dean's office. Assists with maintaining confidential files for the Dean's office. Provides backup support for all Office of the dean administrative staff. Assistant with coordinating mailing of donor thank you notes and holiday cards.

30% - Events & Room Reservations: Assists with Dean's initiatives and projects. Works closely with Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff to prioritize tasks to ensure that important deadlines for special projects and events are met. Provides central support for planning and coordination of college events and events happening the CVM campus hosted by other Clemson and community partners. Fields requests for non-recruiting-related college tours.

30% - College Operations Support: Provides general administrative support to the college's Operations Team, including procurement card and reimbursement requests and processes, meeting minutes, meeting scheduling, document preparation and organization, etc.

10% - Student Worker Management: Coordinates student worker schedules and projects for all Office Assistants across the college.

Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Two years in an administrative support role in the education sector.

Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Student workers only

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
Expected Salary Range
45000 - 50000
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:
Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
