Program Highlights

Duration:
A minimum of 8 weeks during Summer 2027.

Location:
The position is on-site and you may be placed in any of the following locations:

Connecticut: Groton, New London, North Stonington

Rhode Island: North Kingstown

Relocation Assistance:
This internship is
not
eligible for a housing stipend or relocation assistance.

Qualifications

Required:

Enrolled full-time at a College or University

Completed at least Freshman year by Summer 2027

Pursing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.

Willing and able to work 40 hours per week for at least 8 consecutive weeks between May 2027 to September 2027

Preferred:

Familiarity with environmental regulations.

Strong interest in how environmental regulations apply in the shipbuilding environment.

Strong interest in a shipyard trade or construction environment.

Skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a team

Ability to learn new skills and apply them

Ability to solve problems in a constructive manner

Strong interpersonal skills

Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Office)
