This position does not have access to critical infrastructure in accordance with the Governor¿s executive order GA-48.

Job Duties:

This position reports to the OIG Huntsville HQ daily.  Duties include assisting in planning, developing, revising, and implementing human resources policies, procedures, activities, and operations; and assists in training and advising OIG staff on issues, rules, policies, and regulations regarding human resources management. Maintain human resources automated systems, files, and records. Reviews, screens, and evaluates applicant qualifications; refers qualified applicants to the appropriate hiring authority; coordinates and schedules interviews for the selection process; and completes related paperwork. Provides assistance on compensation, leave provisions, and salary administration matters; and assists commissioned and noncommissioned employees with benefits and other human resources programs and services.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources management.

Skill to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.

Knowledge of agency human resources policies and procedures.

Experience working with law enforcement officials
