This position is responsible for:

Under the general supervision of the Corporate & Community Engagement Manager, the Seasonal Support Worker is responsible for assisting with Angel Tree sponsorship. The incumbent will support Angel Tree volunteer recruitment and coordination; assist in assembling all Angel Tree sponsorship material packages for shipping; and perform accurate and complete computer data entry. The Seasonal Support Worker will assist with sorting and moving donations and other materials into the warehouse as well as assist in the setup and breakdown of the warehouse other materials into the warehouse as well as assist in the setup and breakdown of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

Answers telephones and emails in a courteous manner and assists sponsors and volunteers by providing accurate and complete information.

Works with sponsors, volunteers, and clients in a courteous and tactful manner.

Enters sponsor and volunteer intake information into Angel Tree computer data base ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

Creates mailings with multiple components in a timely and detail-oriented manner.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language. Ability to perform route mathematical calculations. Ability to lift and operate hand trucks, and dollies. Ability to occasionally lift boxes of materials, donations. Ability to load, unload, secure and protect goods. Ability to set up and break down materials at events. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.). Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Work is performed in a normal office environment until work is relocated to The Salvation Army's Christmas warehouse. The warehouse space has some minor physical discomforts associated with noise, dust, and dirt. The position involves moving about in the warehouse space where there are fluctuations in room temperature due to cold weather conditions and limited heat.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
AND

Two years general office and/or data entry experience in a customer service setting.
OR

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Driver's License and must meet TSA MVR Requirements.
