Job Description

The Faculty Instructional Aide for the Digital Arts Department is a support position whose primary role is printing student files on either photo quality printers or 3D printers. These printers are in the department's 'Service Bureau' which is where much of the department's assets reside. This is a space that the Faculty Instructional Aide will work in and maintain. Maintenance of the printing equipment and supplies is another expectation of the position. Showcasing student artwork in the department's display cases and creating signage will also be required. Ultimately, supporting the students, staff and faculty of the Digital Arts Department is the role of the Faculty Instructional Aide.
The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include working evenings and weekends.

About Temporary Employment:
This position has one vacant position and will establish a qualified applicant pool for part-time temporary positions. Applications will remain active for 6 months to a year and selected candidates may be contacted as positions become available or when immediate staffing needs arise. Placement in the pool does not guarantee employment. The applicant pool will be refreshed annually.
Temporary applicants may be hired for specific assignments or placed in an applicant pool for future opportunities, depending on enrollment levels and business needs. If selected from this pool of applicants, candidates contacted will receive details regarding the specific assignment and will have the opportunity to confirm interest and availability.
We are seeking dedicated part-time temporary employees to join our qualified applicant pool. Selected candidates will be considered for placement as positions become available or when immediate staffing needs arise.
Part-time temporary roles offer flexible scheduling and the opportunity to support a diverse population of students in achieving their educational goals.

• Print student files using laser printers, photo printers, 3D printers

• Maintain printing equipment (change inks, change filaments, etc.)

• Showcase student artwork in department display cases

• Create signage as necessary

• Maintain inventory of equipment/supplies

• Check equipment out to approved students

• Support the staff and faculty of the department

• Correspond with other staff, faculty and students via email, telephone, etc.

• Consult with students regarding their printing needs

• Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor

• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma/GED and

• Maintain (in person) a regular, agreed upon and posted schedule and

• Be familiar with Apple computers and devices and

• Be able to use Adobe Creative Cloud applications: Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator and

• Occasional trimming using a paper cutter and/or knife

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications: Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator

• Familiarity with 3D files and printing 3D files

Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Have the ability to lift up to 20 pounds
