Job Description
Responsible for processing information and producing electronic records and content to be used by various departments in Tarrant County. Completes jobs using various equipment to efficiently store and retrieve content.

• Prepares personal activity report on a daily basis.
• Provides status of information for accurate retrieval through the use of logs and indexes.
• Prepares documents for image capture.
• Captures images from document source using imaging software and equipment.
• Operates document management system for quality assurance and post processing. Post processing includes the indexing, image enhancement and importing of documents into the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system.
• Reviews and analyzes documents and enters descriptive information and other metadata into ECM system.
• Implements quality control procedures to ensure integrity of documents, electronic images, record metadata and box content.
• Coordinates determination of poor quality original documents with appropriate user departments.
• Ensures all records and content, both physical and electronic, are in compliance with Federal guidelines such as HIPAA and CJIS.
• Assists in training and cross-training of new employees and other personnel.
• Serves in the role of DIS Technical Specialist in their absence.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of clerical, inventory, recordkeeping, or related experience.
• Must have good organizational and communication skills.
• Must have computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of all office equipment.
• Willing to learn the records management discipline and state laws for electronic records including life cycle of records, retention scheduling and indexing schemes.
• Willing to learn the processes required to ensure the production disciplines and procedures are followed for the capture and transfer of digital images to electronic document management or high-capacity storage environments.
• Must have a valid and current driver license.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to bend, carry, grasp/squeeze, hear, keyboard, kneel, lift below the waist, lift between waist and shoulder, lift to the side/twist, tolerate noise, pull, push, reach, reach overhead, perform repetitive tasks, see color, see near, sit, squat, stand, stoop, talk, use his/her hands, walk, and work alone and with others.
