Job Description
Schedule/Hours: Days/hours vary; (28 hours per week)
This position is responsible for:
Prepares, cooks and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules. Ensures meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in preparation of meals. Stores, refrigerates, and freezes foods in a safe manner
Cleans dining area. Cleans kitchen facilities and equipment. Maintains high degree of cleanliness in kitchen and dining area
Maintain inventory of kitchen food and supplies to meet needs of kitchen. Receive donated goods and processes gifts-in-kind documentation.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal kitchen environment where there may be limited physical discomforts associated with working around hot stoves/ovens or cold freezers.
Ability to lift objects weighing 25-50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Ability to cook, taste, and smell food
Duties are usually performed by frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting.

High school diploma or equivalent
AND
One year experience cooking food for large groups
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
State-Issued Food Handling Certification
Serv-Safe Certification (or ability to become certified)
Valid State Drivers License
