Job Description
The Division of Financial Institutions
ensures Ohioans' money is safe by regulating financial institutions and service providers. This includes examining, supervising and regulating Ohio chartered banks and credit unions, and licensing and regulating non-depository mortgage brokers, mortgage loan originators, and other consumer lenders. The Division's Office of Consumer Affairs provides assistance to consumers to help resolve complaints against these institutions and works to provide education to Ohioans regarding financial literacy and other consumer protection topics.
What You'll Do:
Serve as senior applications analyst, evaluating non‑depository institution applications for financial soundness and regulatory compliance.
Act as a key point of contact and administrator for the Nationwide Multi-State Licensing System.
Develop, implement, and refine policies and procedures for application processing and oversight of non‑depository financial institutions.
Provide leadership through training lower‑level examiners, managing responses to inquiries and complaints, and ensuring compliance during meetings with institutional authorities.
Attend and conduct meetings with authorities of non‑depository institutions to discuss regulations and ensure compliance with consumer finance laws.

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate degree in accounting, management or finance; 72 mos. trg., or 72 mos. exp. in accounting &/or auditing/examining assets &/or business practices of financial institutions, pawnbrokers, mortgage brokers, or check-cashing businesses for compliance with recognized state & federal standards & regulations; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in employee training & development or team/lead work; valid driver's license.
-Or 24 mos. exp. as Consumer Finance Specialist 1, 66455; valid driver's license.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
