About the Agency
The Mississippi Department of Human Services is dedicated to serving others while providing a wide range of public assistance programs, social services, and support for children, low-income individuals, and families. This position is with the Division of Youth Services and will be located in Oakley Youth Development Center in Raymond, MS. About the Position
Supervisory position responsible for the overall management of an assigned unit. At this level, employees serve in a supervisory capacity and coordinate the direct treatment for a group of youth committed or assigned to the facility as well as all the activities involved in the daily operation of a living unit, including safety and security (e.g., delegation of case management responsibilities, coordination of youth appointments, point of contact for families and various other professionals). Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.

Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Master's Degree and 3-4 years of youth treatment experience and/or relevant certification.
