Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $15.60 (Based on education and/or years oF relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of
Administration.
This is a recurring job posting for our Night and Medical Courier Driver positions who are mission critical to allow the MSC to continue operating without affecting the service we provide to all state agencies. This position is responsible for collecting and delivering mail from all agencies across the state, especially the Time Sensitive Biohazard samples from all state laboratories that need to go to the NC State Laboratory of Public Health in Raleigh. All these samples must be picked up and delivered to the State Laboratory every day as agreed. New driver will provide coverage for the MSC Raleigh location in addition to our HUB's locations in Statesville, Roanoke Rapids, and Richland Some of the temporary employee duties include:
Picking up and delivering time sensitive laboratory specimens.
Driving inner city and statewide routes using state trucks and vans. Transporting large containers of mail.
Weighing and metering mail. Mechanical and manual sorting of large quantities of mail. Creating manifest of signature mail.
Heavy lifting may be required.
Sorting mail by 4-6 digit numbers mailing codes. Bundling mail for courier route delivery. Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience
