About the Agency

The Mississippi Department of Transportation is responsible for providing a safe intermodal transportation network that is planned, designed, constructed, and maintained in an effective, cost-efficient, and environmentally sensitive manner. About the Position

Supervisory/Managerial position located in the Materials Division accountable for overseeing a section or subdivision of technical support to construction projects, traffic control and safety, research and development, roadway design, right of ways, testing, transportation planning and bridges. Jobs at this level schedule workload, train personnel, and supervise subordinate personnel; and prepare standard operating procedures manuals. Accountable for finalizing projects for clearance of materials; preparing and issuing testing engineer letter of materials and tests; and providing recommendations and advice to testing, district and project engineers, and other divisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of experience, and 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
