About the Agency

About the Position

**This is a Time-limited (NS-14) position with the Mississippi Department of Human Services in the Division of Early Childhood Care and Development**

The MDHS Division of Early Childhood Care and Development (DECCD) Business Leadership Coach provides targeted business leadership training and technical assistance to early childhood providers. This role provides trainings for directors to receive a Mississippi Director's Credential or renew the credential through the Mississippi Director's Credential Renewal training. This individual will monitor, document, and report on provider progress and engagement and stay current with best practices in early childhood business operations and leadership.

What you'll need to be Successful

Background in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience working in or with early childhood centers, preferably in a leadership or business management role or related areas. Strong understanding of the unique business needs of early childhood providers. Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills. Ability to travel within assigned regions, as necessary. Knowledge of the Mississippi Director Credential and the Mississippi Director Credential Renewal trainings is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience.

Agency preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience delivering professional development or technical assistance to early learning providers.
