The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services (MDCPS) is committed to protecting and nurturing Mississippi's at-risk children and families. MDCPS offers a variety of positions statewide, including social work positions providing case management services and working with potential foster families, supervisor positions providing clinical and administrative support, and agency support positions such as policy development, human resources, information technology, program management, training, and budgeting/finance. Working with MDCPS will give you the chance to make a life-changing difference for Mississippi's most vulnerable children and families. About the Position This role is performed by creating power forms that are requested from the field, and collaborating with the directors on what is needed for them to access the forms. These functions are needed as they expedite the forms electronically, so there isn't a need for a paper process. Smartsheet is a tracking tool that allows the end users to create a spreadsheet/link and track information that can be shared with multiple users with a simple click. What you'll need to be Successful Professional commitment and support to Field Operations staff is a priority. Efficient organizational, time management skills, and good oral/written communication skills are a must. Positive work morale. Ability to be flexible in thinking and problem-solving. Realistic expectations about the difficulty and challenges of the work. Ability to handle an often-unpredictable work environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to the environment, and to be a team player. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 7-10+ years of IT experience with emphasis in multi-platform hardware and software systems and systems administration.
