Overview

Chenega is seeking a
Senior Shift Supervisor - Lieutenant
to support our CDC contract in
Fort Collins, CO
. The Lieutenant plays a critical leadership role, assisting the Site Supervisor (Captain) in ensuring all contractual obligations are met during assigned shifts. This position serves as the alternate Captain and is responsible for supervising, guiding, and supporting all security personnel on-site.

Responsibilities

🔐
Security Oversight & Compliance

Maintain knowledge of general/post orders, SOPs, CDC policies, and PWS.

Ensure compliance with updated directives and communicate changes.

Conduct daily inspections of officers, equipment, and vehicles.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare end-of-shift reports and notify leadership of critical incidents.

Review officer logs and incident reports for accuracy and clarity.

Maintain briefing binders, pass-down logs, and visitor logs.

Team Leadership & Supervision

Lead, guide, and train security personnel; monitor morale.

Address disciplinary actions, commendations, and complaints.

Ensure shift supervisors fulfill their responsibilities.

Scheduling & Staffing

Manage daily schedules and coordinate shift coverage.

Monitor overtime and document payroll changes.

Approve leave requests and track absentee trends.

Administrative & Operational Support

Issue uniforms, weapons, and equipment as needed.

Assist with fleet maintenance and service scheduling.

Participate in inventory counts for weapons and equipment.

Emergency Response & Incident Management

Respond to emergencies and conduct initial investigations.

Document incidents and notify appropriate personnel.

Handle on-the-job injuries and ensure proper reporting.

Site Management Support

Support site manager with guard force supervision and training.

Assist in planning and executing quarterly response exercises.

Help prepare after-action reviews and implement improvements.

Other Responsibilities

Supervise all shift supervisors at the site.

Ensure guards have proper gear and resources.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Associate's degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.

5+ years in security, law enforcement, or military operations.

Specialized experience in physical security or law enforcement required.

Certifications & Training

Graduate of a recognized law enforcement or military security academy.

Must qualify with a 9mm semi-auto pistol using agency standards.

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements for armed security.

Requirements & Eligibility

Valid state driver's license and U.S. work eligibility required.

No felony convictions or recent drug-related offenses.

Must pass DOJ background check and National Agency Check (NACI).
