Job Description

The Office of Administration, Division of Accounting (OA

DOA), is seeking a detail

oriented professional to support the Facilities Management, Design & Construction (FMDC) division. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with state agencies and vendors, contribute to accurate and timely financial processes, and strengthen your skills within a collaborative, service

focused environment.
We are seeking a proactive team player who is able to apply critical thinking and problem

solving skills to assist state agencies and vendors with questions, inquiries, and processes related to purchasing and payable needs.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate.  If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck.  A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

Review requests for purchases from FMDC.
Approve requests in MissouriBUYS.
Process invoices for payment in MissouriBUYS and SAM II.
Enter journal vouchers for payment corrections and modifications.
Assist with other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in accounting
or
3-5 years of relevant experience. (Business or governmental accounting experience above entry level, involving the maintenance or recording of financial data, may substitute on a year

for

year basis for deficiencies in the required college education.)
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Outstanding attention to detail, analytical abilities, and reporting capabilities.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and complete tasks with a sense of urgency.
Working knowledge of the SAM II Financial System and MissouriBUYS.
Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel is desired but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and OA division team members.
Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to apply them to varied accounting transactions
Two or more years of financial experience with a governmental agency or a private sector accounting, finance, or brokerage firm.
Lack of post

secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate's name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
