THE POSITION

In this position, you will spearhead important initiatives aimed at preventing injuries, fostering a strong safety culture, and supporting teams throughout the district. Your responsibilities will include guiding accident investigations, providing effective training, and developing safety policies, all of which will help protect employees and enhance daily operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will engage in professional and technical safety management tasks to enhance the administration, training, and oversight of safety programs within an engineering district. Your duties will involve creating, organizing, and delivering safety guidance and training, as well as monitoring compliance with safety programs and offering technical support to district and county staff. You will also be responsible for coordinating and maintaining safety policies and procedures, conducting on-site inspections, and managing all aspects of the Accident/Injury Prevention Program. Furthermore, you will chair the Accident Review Committee, investigate serious injuries and accidents, and ensure that corrective measures are implemented and monitored. Your work will include coordinating and completing accident and injury reports, entering data into safety systems, and managing necessary documentation. As a subject matter expert in safety training, you will conduct OSHA classes, workshops, seminars, and presentations to share information about new programs, processes, and policies.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Overtime and travel as needed, may involve overnight travel.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Clearfield. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
