Job Description:
 Maintain accurate and complete
software asset records
, entitlements, and contracts
 Perform
license compliance analysis
and resolve over‑/under‑licensing issues
 Track software usage and recommend
reclamation and optimization actions
 Support
vendor audits
by preparing data, evidence, and compliance reports
 Collaborate with
Procurement and Finance
to optimize software spend
 Configure and maintain
SAM tools
(e.g., ServiceNow SAM Pro), including normalization, reconciliation, and reporting
 Define and monitor
SAM KPIs and dashboards
 Ensure alignment with
ITAM, CMDB, and ITSM processes
 Document SAM processes, controls, and audit defense procedures
Skills & Experience
8+ years of overall experience with 3-5 years in Software Asset Management (HAM)
Strong understanding of hardware asset lifecycle management
Experience with asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow or similar platforms)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting)
Strong analytical and data reconciliation capabilities
Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications

 Software Asset Management principles
 License metrics (user, device, processor, subscription, SaaS)
 SAM tools (ServiceNow SAM Pro preferred)
 Vendor licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, SAP, SaaS vendors)
 Data analysis and reporting
 ITIL / ITAM best practices
