Job Description
The Division of Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing (DODDBHH) concentrates on helping to improve the lives of Michigan's Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing citizens. Our mission is affirming the indisputable right of persons who are Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing to secure effective communication.
The Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing Liaison for the DODDBHH is responsible for developing and implementing statewide community informed outreach initiatives that promote awareness of the Division's services, civil rights protections, and community resources. This position serves as a key liaison to Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing communities, assists with the management of the Division's social media presence, and coordinates quarterly advisory board meetings in compliance with the Open Meetings Act.
Position Description
This position generally requires possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Specific information on the education and experience required for different class levels is in the job specification for the Rights Representative class.
