Establish a written goal-specific treatment plan and serve as a resource. Collaborate and consult with colleagues, community individuals, or agencies to assist in providing the highest quality of services. This position may also provide outpatient group therapy and School Based Counseling services. School Therapists work on site in schools to assess student needs, provide consultation and education to school personnel, and make referrals. Full-time positions include excellent benefits! DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This professional therapist role provides outpatient behavioral health services within the Bedford County Outpatient Program, including school-based counseling and outpatient group therapy. The position supports individuals of all ages by delivering therapeutic services, coordinating care, and ensuring that clients receive appropriate assessments, treatment, and referrals across multiple program areas.Provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy while developing strengths-based treatment plans within the Electronic Medical RecordComplete Therapy Diagnostic Evaluations under supervisory direction to determine service needs and make medically necessary referralsCoordinate care with program staff, including Crisis Intervention when needed, to ensure high-quality service deliveryDeliver group, individual, and play therapy to students in school settings and complete school-based assessments, intakes, and referralsOffer consultation and education to school personnel, community members, and agencies regarding mental health issues and resourcesFacilitate outpatient group therapy sessions focusing on self-care, self-m
