About the Position

The Program Specialist will work within the Preventive Health Program to coordinate all school and community-based prevention initiatives. This Time-Limited (14) position will serve as a liaison between the Preventive Health Program and participating sites, partners, and stakeholders. The Specialist will ensure that program planning, implementation, and project alignment are carried out effectively across all assigned locations. Responsibilities also include providing technical assistance, program support, distributing and collecting resources and assessments, conducting trainings, and coordinating site visits to ensure program fidelity and compliance with state preventive health standards and guidelines. Coordinate all school and community-based Preventive Health programs and projects, ensuring that planning and implementation are aligned across all project sites.
Serve as the primary liaison between the Preventive Health program and participating schools, community organizations, healthcare partners, and other stakeholders. Assist in the implementation of evidence-based preventive health curricula, ensuring alignment with program goals and public health best practices. Provide technical assistance and ongoing support to schools and community partners implementing Preventive Health initiatives. Assist with the development, distribution, and collection of educational materials, assessments, surveys, and resources related to Preventive Health. Coordinate and conduct site visits to monitor program fidelity and ensure compliance with state preventive health requirements, policies, and standards. Monitor program activities and performance to ensure adherence to Preventive Health guidelines, objectives, and deliverables; foster collaborative and supportive relationships with schools, community organizations, and other program stakeholders. Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation evaluating program progress, outcomes, and needs. Represent the Preventive Health program at meetings, conferences, trainings, and community events as needed.
