About the Position
**This is a non-state service ( NS14), time-limited position with the Mississippi State Department of Health. ** The Environmental Health Office Manager (Program Specialist III) position is located within the Office of Environmental
Health with the MS State Department of Health located in Jackson, MS. The Office Manager will primarily be
responsible for, but is not limited to, submitting all Environmental Health Human Resource actions to the MSDH Office of
Human Capital, working with Environmental Health Program Directors and Finance Team on the required paperwork for
these submissions, managing submission updates, providing status updates to leadership and directors, recording all
Organizational Chart updates made by the Environmental Health Program Directors, coordinating property inventory
with program responsible persons and MSDH Property, keeping records on all inventory audits submitted, addressing
inventory issues including salvaging and transfer of property assuring all correct paperwork has been completed and
submitted, assist programs and the Environmental Finance team in proper deployment of equipment ordered, and assist
programs in facilitating internal audits and responses. Previous experience in Human Resources preferred.
