Job Description
The Coastal Programs Section of the Division of Climate, Coastal and Energy serves as the Department's research, education, and policy lead for coastal and ocean issues. It helps manage Delaware's federal coastal zone and balance the use and protection of its resources through the integrated efforts of the Delaware Coastal Management Program and Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve.

The Ocean Planning Outreach Coordinator will lead public engagement and communications efforts to support Delaware's ocean planning initiatives. This position is responsible for collaborating and connecting with partners, stakeholders, and the public, organizing outreach events, and preparing educational and communication materials to share the value of Delaware's marine resources. The Coordinator may assist in the development of a communications plan to inform future community engagement strategies. Additional duties may include assisting with the development, management, and analysis of a public survey focused on ocean planning. Additional work on weekends, evenings and holidays may be scheduled.
