The Joint, Office of the Secretary of
War
, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the
Department of War
, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group within JOID specializes in the application of multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support multiple clients within the
Department of War
(
DoW
). These clients include the Office of the Under Secretary of
War
for Research and Engineering (
OUSW
(R&E)), Office of the Under
Secretary of War
for Acquisition and Sustainment (
OUSW
(A&S)), DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.

Responsibilities
SPA is seeking an experienced Nuclear Acquisition Analyst to support OS
W
oversight of the Nuclear Triad sustainment and modernization, with a primary focus on nuclear
modernization programs in any legs of the nuclear Triad. Will provide support to the Deputy Assistant
Secretary of War
for Strategic, Space, and Intelligence Portfolio Management (DAS
W
(SSIPM)) in the Strategic Deterrence and Capabilities (SDC) Directorate. Will also support DAS
W
(SSIPM)s participation in the Nuclear Weapons Council and other
DoW
nuclear-related
forums
and
will develop decision-ready material for senior leaders and apply the initiative to navigate headquarters and acquisition processes to support the DASD portfolio management responsibilities. The Nuclear Acquisition Analyst will support portfolio management and oversight of systems through development, production, and fielding to the warfighter.
Qualifications
Required:
7+ years of experience
5+ years of experience with the Defense Acquisition System
5+ years of experience with nuclear weapons and weapon systems at the operational and programmatic level
Understanding of
Do
D
I 5000.02 and the
DoW
acquisition process
Master's degree
Active TS/SCI clearance
Willingness for occasional travel (may be
required
(less than 10%))
DAWIA or DAU PM certification
Able to work fully onsite based on client needs
Desired:
Experience as a
DoW
Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager
Project Management Professional Certification
Experience supporting the Sentinel, LRSO, or ALCM programs
Special Access Program eligibility
Pay Range Information
