THE POSITION

The Department of Conservation & Natural Resources is looking for a seasonal Maintenance Repairman 2 to provide skilled work in the areas of maintenance, repair and construction at Ricketts Glen State Park. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will be performing skilled journey-level tasks across various trades, including building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and masonry, specifically in the construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment. It is essential that you ensure careful handling and upkeep of a diverse range of hand and power tools, motorized machinery, construction equipment, and materials in order to complete assigned tasks At the direction of the supervisor, you will contact vendors and obtains price quotations, calculate costs of supplies and equipment, estimate man-hours required to complete assignments, prepare forms and submits them to the supervisor for review and approval. Additionally, you will lead a team of Semi-Skilled Laborers, Laborers and other personnel during the completion of projects.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full time, seasonal employment that runs from March through November each season. This position does not include medical benefits.Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Weekend and holiday work is required from Memorial Day through Labor Day, during this time days off will be two consecutive days mid-week.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orFour years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.Special Requirements:This position requires poss
