Job Description

This position performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair work in the building and mechanical trades, providing maintenance repair support throughout the department, primarily in the area of installing modular furniture and support functions. Your work as a Maintenance Repairman 2 will involve proficiency in several trades. Our team will rely on you to function as a work leader, determining and assigning work methods and procedures. You will handle, install, reconfigure and relocate Donn walls, modular workstations, and office furniture. You can expect to repair doors, door frames, office furniture and equipment, to include but not limited to all shop equipment, mail equipment (i.e. letter opener) and general mechanical equipment within the department. Additional duties will involve operating and maintaining power and hand tools, operating warehousing equipment and performing preventative maintenance on motorized equipment. You will have the opportunity to travel throughout the state to install modular furniture and partitions and make deliveries or pickups from field office locations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
• You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
