About the Agency

The Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration is the primary agency responsible for State government financial and administrative operations including employee payroll, vendor payments, employee insurance, construction, maintenance, and protection of State buildings in the Capitol Complex, financial information management systems, management of the State's vehicle fleet, and numerous other related activities. About the Position

This position is in the Office of Capitol Facilities. The incumbent will perform duties such as painting, dry wall repairs and electrical repairs. HVAC and plumbing duties will also be performed in this position.

What you'll need to be Successful

The agency is seeking Maintenance/Grounds Technicians that have communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to adapt to working conditions. Other crucial skills are teamwork and collaboration, stress management, and a commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires 3-4 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications:
Experience in the following areas: painting, dry wall, HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
