Collins Aerospace - Pueblo site, Colorado is a dynamic carbon brake machining operation. We create and ship out new carbon for aviation braking systems. As a
Machine Operator
you will learn to run CNC Milling Centre machines and you will have the opportunity to be cross trained in Quality parts inspections. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be trained to use fork truck/pallet lifts, Bar Code scanning equipment, and dust collection systems, along with tools such as precision gauges, drills, and grinders. You are willing to learn and thrive in a team environment.
Position works onsite at our Pueblo, Colorado Facility
.
Rotating Shift: 3 on 3 off schedule, 6A - 6P
Rotating between day/night shift every 4 months.
Pay - $18/hr plus a shift differential of $2.25/hr
What You Will Do
Learn all necessary machining operations, understand product flow: Learn the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Perform machine set ups on CNC machines, CMM's, and scales for all programs and part types including production and/or engineering parts
Conduct visual inspections of machine for damage or wear and report to manager
Learn to effectively read blueprints including geometrical dimension and tolerance (GD&T)
Inspect Carbon parts per print specifications using gauges and CMM
Generate inspection reports based on specific criteria
Follow written and verbal instructions
Follow all EH&S Safety guidelines
Comply with all other Collins policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED
1 year of manufacturing experience
Qualifications We Prefer
1 to 2 years of experience in CNC machining
Aerospace experience
