The Department of Agriculture is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Livestock Worker 1 to assist veterinarians in handling horses and recording sample data at the Pocono Downs Racetrack. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Livestock Worker 1, you will be responsible for closely monitoring assigned horses, collecting urine and blood samples for testing, packaging samples according to procedures, and accurately completing all required records and documentation. You will also assist with any other necessary farm activities to include maintaining a clean work area and bedding the stalls. Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Temporary, part-time employmentWork hours are 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday, and 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Sunday.Work schedule is vendor controlled and may change as determined by the racing schedule.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
