The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources (DCNR) is looking for dedicated, vigilant, and responsible individuals to join our team as a seasonal Lifeguard at scenic Sizerville State Park. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A a Lifeguard at Sizerville State Park, your responsibilities will involve patrolling, observing, and monitoring visitor activity at designated swimming areas. You will need to recognize when swimmers are in distress and take immediate action to initiate proper lifesaving methods and techniques. In addition, you will be expected to utilize first aid, artificial respiration, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for visitors of all ages. Inspection of buoys, ropes, first aid equipment and supplies, and other safety equipment will also be one of your duties.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Seasonal full-time employment running from 5/25/2026 through 9/7/2026.Work hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch.Work schedule will vary not to exceed 37.5 hours per week and will include weekends and holidays.Full-time and part-time schedules available.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
