Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Lead Security Design Engineer
to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the technical design and engineering of sophisticated physical security systems, including
CCTV, access control, perimeter detection, and intrusion alarm systems
.
Develop comprehensive security documentation, including
specifications, schematics, technical drawings, and bills of materials
for various projects.
Conduct
Security Threat and Risk Assessments (STRA)
and apply
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
principles to inform and shape the technical design of security countermeasures.
Utilize specialized software for camera coverage studies to optimize placement and ensure effective surveillance.
Ensure all security designs and project deliverables strictly comply with
MOI regulations, including HCIS standards
.
Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams, architects, and clients to integrate security designs seamlessly with overall project requirements.
Review and approve technical submittals and engineering drawings from vendors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project specifications.
Provide expert technical guidance and support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to final commissioning.
Stay current with emerging security technologies and industry standards (
e.g., ASIS, ISO, UL
) to deliver state-of-the-art solutions.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Proven expertise in the design and engineering of complex physical security systems.
In-depth knowledge of
physical security principles, risk management, and CPTED
.
Strong understanding of
MOI regulations and HCIS standards
.
Proficiency with
design software
such as AutoCAD and camera coverage study software.
Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
Fluency in
English
is required. Fluency in Arabic is a plus for effective communication in the region.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
10 years of experience
Experience with
Revit
is a significant plus.
HCIS certification
is highly desirable.
Experience with
Vehicle Dynamic Assessment (VDA)
.
Familiarity with international security standards such as
ASIS, ISO, and UL
.
A track record of managing and leading security design projects from conception to completion.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
