This position presents educational programs for hunter education. This position interacts with the public, assists with special events and helps develop new educational programs and educational materials. Job duties also include assisting with the care and maintenance of firearms and hunting related equipment. Work may be performed outdoors under various weather conditions.

Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. • Performs assignments with supervisor guidance and feedback
• Researches and develops new educational programs
• Modifies existing educational programs
• Prepares interpretive materials and other educational materials
• Manages program participants with assistance from intern or other seasonal employees with minimal supervision
• Presents educational programs
• Participates in special events and outreach activities
• May assist with drafting social media posts
• May oversee the work of volunteers and interns
• Assists with training and providing guidance for new seasonal staff, interns and volunteers
• Assists with facility cleaning and organization
• Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
