Mississippi Forestry Commission (MFC) has been a leader in the protection, management, and sustainability of the state's forests for 95 years. The MFC provides expert management, protection, and information needed to keep Mississippi's approximately 19.2 million acres of forestland healthy, productive, and prosperous. About the Position

This position is with the Mississippi Forestry Commission with duties and responsibilities in Forest, Greene, and Perry counties. This is a First-level Supervisory Forestry position accountable for directing a phase of a statewide forestry program. The duties are often technical, not only requiring the application of well-standardized techniques but also demanding continuous study and experimentation to develop new techniques. Employees at this level direct and review the work of lower-level positions.

Preferred Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's Degree, five years of experience, and licensure as a Registered Forester.
