Pay Range
: $42,437- $78,865 annually.
While the full salary range is shown, we expect to hire within the
$50,000- $56,000
range, depending on experience and qualifications.
The Field Representative is the liaison between The Salvation Army Service Extension Department and the volunteers, businesses, donors, potential donors and people in need in the area assigned. Increasing income in assigned areas including kettle income and new money income combined.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for assigned service units required.
Submit required reports on time.
Maintain all records in an organized and well maintain filing system.
Attend staff, community and other meetings as requested.
Coordinate through service unit committees all fundraising programs including kettles, letters to donors, special events, etc.
Meet all fundraising goals inclusive of combined income goals.
Meet with all active coalitions quarterly, more often as necessary, providing/receiving updates, and information on all changes
Provide regular postings to the Department Facebook page
Communicate with funding sources when necessary
Fulfill speaking engagements promoting the visibility of The Salvation Army programs and services
Provide educational and informational orientation to volunteers and donors when appropriate
Take initiative to identify community needs and develop programs to address them
Performs emergency assistance tasks, i.e., services to clients, special projects, and seasonal activities.
Perform office and clerical duties when necessary.
Is part of The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster work as requested
Perform other related duties as assigned by your supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in communications and/or business
Work Experience:
2-4 years' experience in non-profit community preferred.
Experience Fund raising for a non-profit
Experience in recruiting/working with volunteers and/or volunteer groups
Other Qualifications:
Highly motivated
Ability to work independently
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs (kettle equipment, signs, etc)
Must be cleared to drive personal vehicle for business purposes
Must provide evidence of successful fund raising or significant increase in sales income
Ability to use MS Office including Excel, Access and PowerPoint
