DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will engage in a comprehensive one-year training program that combines formal education with practical experience to cultivate essential skills in public interaction and customer service. You will gain insights into current trends and challenges in outdoor recreation and conservation, as well as learn about conservation principles, environmental education, public safety, and relevant departmental policies and regulations, including law enforcement practices necessary for a DCNR Ranger. Your responsibilities will involve assisting with park patrols and effectively addressing various situations, such as safety concerns, visitor assistance, emergencies, and potential violations of laws or regulations. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining daily and monthly logs that document the status of campgrounds, facilities, and visitor safety, as well as preparing permits and managing fee collections, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and bank deposits.Interested in learning more?
