About the Position The Mississippi Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst IV. As a Cybersecurity Analyst IV, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical, physical, and administrative security of information systems within assigned functional areas. This senior-level position plays a key role in developing and deploying security technologies and processes, ensuring data integrity, and mentoring less experienced team members. Key Responsibilities • Oversee security measures for information systems, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards. • Develop and implement security technologies and processes in designated areas. • Protect data from unauthorized alteration or erasure. • Manage workload and deliverables for assigned resources. • Serve as a liaison with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to align with organizational security goals. • Lead training initiatives for employees on data security best practices. • Provide advanced technical support and guidance in cybersecurity. • Act as project lead and mentor junior staff members. • Other duties as assigned. What you'll need to be Successful • Proven ability to lead projects and manage resources effectively. • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and frameworks. Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; and seven (7) to ten (10) + years of IT experience with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.
