THE POSITION
NOTE:  THIS IS A REPOSTING OF CS-2026-46801-L0624 WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY OPEN FROM APRIL 7, 2026 TO APRIL 20, 2026.  PREVIOUS APPLICANTS DO NOT NEED TO REAPPLY.Wayne County MH/ID seeking qualified Caseworker 2s (BCM) to provide case management services to individuals and families. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position the caseworker will be responsible for case management services, including maintaining close contact with consumer families and service providers in order to evaluate and document treatment being provided and progress in meeting identified goals of treatment.   May serve as a lead worker for professional staff and student interns. Advocacy for referral for collateral/supportive services in order to meet clients needs in areas other than behavioral health, including but not limited to economic, health, physical or vocational needs.  Provides frequent direct contact and treatment, at least biweekly but as needed by the consumer.  Provides crisis intervention and emergency services as needed to Blended consumers. Obtains information from consumers, members of their families and others necessary for the identification of social, economic, emotional, health or physical problems and for assisting consumers in obtaining a wide variety of services on the basis of establishing policy, regulations and statutes.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch. Irregular hours including evening and weekends, may be required. Works on a rotating basis 24/7 once trained.Occasional overnight and out of county travel for meetings or training.Provides 24 hour/days per week on-call coverage on a rotating basis.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.The County offers a generous benefit package and time off, employee assistance program services, cell phone discount plans, car rental discounts, flexible spending accounts, and other benefits.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
