THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position you will be implementing initial action plans on new intake calls, conducting follow-up visits and review of existing cases, conducting CPS investigations, and assuring clients have access to service providers.  You will provide and/or coordinate services and goals for families to help strengthen and stabilize the family unit to prevent out of home placement,  and work cooperatively with families to ensure the safety of children, while encouraging healthy family environments in order for the family unit to remain intact.  Additionally, you will provide and/or to coordinate services and goals for families and to monitor family progress thus helping to strengthen and stabilize the family unit in an effort to reunite child(ren) with their families.  You will also provide some permanency for the child(ren) while in placement (foster care, residential treatment or pre-adoption care) for whom reunification is no longer an option through adoption or Subsidized Permanent Legal Custodianship (SPLC).Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. 72.50 hours bi-weekly Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.Caseworkers will share on-call duties.Travel and overtime as needed basis.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level course work which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences;?orA bachelor's degree which includes or is supple
