DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is entry level professional social service work in a County Children & Youth Services Agency. Employees participate in formal and informal training programs which provide basic knowledge relative to helping the children and families in our county achieve a normal home life. Ability to understand and accept the needs and rights of others and to work with children and adults who are physically challenged, mentally disabled, emotionally troubled and economically disadvantaged.   Learning about the network of available community resources, instruction on how to complete the forms for the resources and guiding the clients through them.  Ability to work as a team in order to achieve an acceptable result.  Have the ability to apply relevant laws, regulations and policies in order to help the children and families achieve an acceptable resolution. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM , or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30 minute lunch.There is also on-call work after hours and on weekends.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level course work which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; orA
