DUTIES:*Responsible for specific shift of a custody force.*Conduct special investigations; resolve problems between incarcerated individuals.*Supervise the performance of all assigned security staff, and indirect supervision of other institutional staff.*Conduct roll call and handle administrative paperwork.*Supervise custody activities such as searches, institutional tours, visitor & inmate escort, and initial commander in emergency situations. Requirements/QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Post-high school coursework/training in Criminal Justice or related Behavioral field and three years of progressively responsible corrections experience. Experience or coursework/training in supervision and leadership. Must be able to legally possess firearms and ammunition. No felony or domestic abuse related convictions.Preferred Qualifications: One year of supervisory experience. Experience using Kronos, or other electronic timekeeping system, in a supervisory capacity. Experience working for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.Other: Must have a valid driver's license. Successful completion of background check.
