The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced
Contested Logistics Planner, Journeyman
to support contested
logistics
planning and theater sustainment operations across the Indo-Pacific. The Contested Logistics Planner, Journeyman serves as CACI's
logistics
management professional responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing
logistics
plans that enable sustainment operations in contested, degraded, denied, and austere environments. Reporting directly to the Logistics Planning Lead, this position supports resilient distribution networks, adaptive supply chains, and multidomain sustainment capabilities that ensure mission continuity across the Indo-Pacific theater.
The Contested Logistics Planner works closely with Government stakeholders, operational planners, transportation coordinators, supply chain managers, engineers, intelligence personnel, movement control teams, Service Components, coalition partners, and mission partners to analyze operational challenges, identify logistics risks, and develop adaptive sustainment strategies supporting Joint and Special Operations Forces. This position contributes to successful program execution by improving operational resilience, enhancing theater sustainment, and enabling mission success in contested operational environments.
Responsibilities:
Develop contested
logistics
plans supporting distributed, degraded, denied, and austere operational environments.
Coordinate
logistics
planning activities supporting theater sustainment, deployment, distribution, and mission support operations.
Develop Primary, Alternate, Contingency, and Emergency (PACE)
logistics
plans supporting personnel, equipment, and sustainment movement.
Analyze operational environments to
identify
logistics
vulnerabilities, transportation constraints, infrastructure limitations, and supply chain risks.
Coordinate with transportation planners, movement control teams, supply chain managers, engineers, and operational planners to synchronize sustainment operations.
Support Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (RSOI), theater opening, and Joint Theater Distribution Center (JTDC) planning activities.
Develop
logistics
estimates, sustainment annexes, route analyses, operational assessments, and executive-level briefing materials.
Support operational planning conferences, contingency planning events, tabletop exercises, and mission rehearsals.
Coordinate
logistics
support for humanitarian
assistance
, disaster response, crisis action, and emergent operations.
Integrate commercial
logistics
capabilities, host nation support, coalition resources, and non-standard
logistics
solutions into operational planning.
Maintain
logistics
planning documentation, knowledge management repositories, operational databases, and planning products.
Ensure
logistics
plans
comply with
Joint doctrine, Combatant Command guidance, Government regulations, and contractual requirements.
Promote continuous process improvement supporting
logistics
resilience, adaptive sustainment, and operational readiness.
Support rapidly changing operational requirements requiring agile planning and responsive
logistics
solutions.
Foster collaboration across Joint, interagency, coalition, and commercial organizations to strengthen theater sustainment capabilities.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience supporting
logistics
planning, supply chain management, operational
logistics
, transportation planning, deployment planning, or theater sustainment for Government or Department of Defense programs.
Experience supporting Department of Defense, Joint, Combatant Command, Service Component, or Special Operations organizations.
Experience supporting
logistics
planning, contingency operations, deployment planning, or sustainment activities.
Experience developing
logistics
plans, operational assessments, movement plans, or sustainment documentation.
Experience coordinating cross-functional
logistics
activities involving transportation, supply chain management, warehousing, or operational support.
Demonstrated ability to prepare
logistics
reports, planning products, and operational briefings supporting Government leadership.
Desired
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Military Science, Transportation Management, or a related field.
Experience supporting USSOCOM, SOCPAC, Geographic Combatant Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), Joint Task Forces,
or
Service Component headquarters.
Experience supporting Indo-Pacific operations, contested
logistics
, multidomain operations, expeditionary sustainment, theater distribution, or security cooperation activities.
Experience utilizing GCCS-J, JOPES, GCSS-Army, GCSS-MC, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, ArcGIS,
SmarTrack
, TAPID, ATLAS, and
logistics
planning and asset visibility systems.
Knowledge of Joint Publication 4-0, Joint Publication 4-01, Joint Publication 4-09, Joint Publication 5-0, PACE planning methodologies, theater distribution, and contested
logistics
concepts.
Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent
logistics
and operational planning certifications are preferred.
Experience supporting TS/SCI operations, Special Operations Forces, distributed sustainment, predictive
logistics
, adaptive supply chain management, and Indo-Pacific contested
logistics
operations is highly desirable.
