Description
The Biostatistician Specialist utilizes advanced expertise to oversees specialized statistical analyses, mentors junior staff, and contributes to high-impact research projects. This role demands significant independent judgment and the ability to lead specific biostatistical components of large studies. Specialists often develop new statistical methodologies, address complex data challenges, and ensure the robustness and accuracy of statistical results. Plays a critical role in the interpretation of study findings and the development of innovative solutions to statistical problems.
As a member of the CCTS Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD) Unit, utilizes advanced expertise to implement specialized statistical analyses and contribute to high-impact research projects, as assigned. With a great deal of independence, executes specific biostatistical components of studies. Prepares written summaries of statistical design and analyses for manuscripts or grant submissions. Project support may involve preparatory work, investigator engagement and subsequent biostatistical components. Track all BERD-related engagements in the CCTS's database and ensure consultative effort is accurately reflected.
Salary Range: $67,070 - $108,990
Qualifications
Doctorate degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience OR Master's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and seven (7) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
