Job Description

This position is responsible for:

Performing advanced, complex, and confidential administrative support work with a broad scope of responsibilities. Provides support to the Wellness Program & Officers' Health Services Coordinator. Works with database inputting data entry, producing reports, and creating spreadsheets. Coordinates information and arrangements for meetings and seminars; works independently and with little or no direct supervision for extended periods of time; assists in preparation of special events.

Key Responsibilities:

Composes, prepares, and/or types a wide variety of paperwork including that of a confidential, complex, and/or technical nature with limited supervision; records minutes of meetings and distributes the same to all those concerned; ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the same.

Sets up department files and records properly in the department's Bring-up filing system and maintains files and records in an organized, efficient manner to enhance the department's effectiveness and efficiency; pulls cases when a response is received; and prepares follow-up communication for those cases that have not had a response.

Serves as a liaison for other departments and/or divisions seeking information or services; responds to questions, researches, and provides specific and general information based on the knowledge of the department operations; ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all information provided; maintains the confidential nature of the position.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Limited amounts of physical effort required for walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 30 lbs.) for 5-10% of work time.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a normal office environment with little or no physical discomfort from weather changes or from noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, supplemented by healthcare or record maintenance coursework from a technical or vocational school preferred,

AND

Three years of progressively responsible experience performing administrative tasks in a general office.

OR

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
