About the Position

This position is with the Central Office Payroll Department and is a first-level accounting professional responsible for assisting with payroll and accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation and financial processing. Responsibilities include processing semi-monthly and supplemental payrolls, assisting Human Resources with payroll-related issues, processing stop payments and reissued warrants, entering employee deductions and adjustments in SPAHRS, and maintaining records for new hires and separations. The position is also responsible for processing callback pay, separation payouts, monthly accruals, and updating employee leave balances, including FMLA, military, and donated leave. Additional duties include reconciling invoices and insurance premium payments, correcting PERS errors, transferring employee credentials between sub-agencies, issuing pay stubs as needed, and opening and closing employee timecards in Kronos to support accurate payroll operations and compliance.
