About the Position

The Mississippi Department of Education is seeking to employ an Accountant I in the office of Accounting. This position is responsible for making timely and accurate payments in MAGIC. This person will also reconcile payments, maintain files, and perform any other accounting duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience. Hiring agency preferred qualifications:
Experience in MAGIC (Mississippi's Accountability System for Government Information and Collaboration), and accounts payable is preferred.
